New operating model for Construction Accord

The Construction Sector Accord Transformation programme now has a new operating model in place.

The changes include the appointment of new membership to the Accord Steering Group and the establishment of new Sector Reference Groups covering Residential, Commercial and Infrastructure, and Māori construction Kōtuiā te hono.

The new model builds on the current Accord governance model to bring greater representation and input from the sectors as well as from Māori construction leaders.

The Accord Steering Group and Sector Reference Group membership bring expertise including industry and government leadership, diversity, governance experience, a whole-of-sector view, and experience in industry transformation including innovation and sustainability leadership.

The groups will offer collective oversight and governance as the Accord embarks on a new plan for transformation in the construction sector over the next three years.

"We are excited to have high-calibre appointees offering their time and leadership skills to the transformation across the sector and thank you to our fantastic members who are continuing to be involved. This is an exciting time for the Accord, as we take bold steps to deliver our ambitious new transformation plan," says ASG Co-Chairs Andrew Crisp and Tracey Ryan.

"This group will provide invaluable governance and bring wider industry input to the transformation work programme. We look forward to continuing to engage across industry to build on the excellent partnerships and foundations already established, including leading culture change in the sector."
